TYPHOON has its own 'DOME'

Typhoon NV from Beveren-Leie (Waregem) took its own 'DOME' into use this week. This new imposing building is a high storage facility equipped with roller bridges and sufficient places for storage and loading and unloading of components. The building is 14.5 metres high and covers an area of 1,200 m². The roof is made of transparent foil so that no extra lighting is needed during the day. The building is also equipped with infrastructure for charging electric vehicles.

"We are very pleased with the construction of this building, which is actually a roof over our existing car park," says Kris Devidt, managing director of Typhoon. "Due to corona, we were confronted last year with construction sites that could not go ahead and so we had to look rather quickly for warehouses that were suitable for the temporary storage of our manufactured goods. Thanks to our 'Dome', we can now store our goods much more efficiently, and the new infrastructure makes it easier to load large pieces."

"The impressive result can be seen. Our people were allowed to choose the name of the building themselves," says Frederic Bulcaen, managing director of Typhoon. "We try to see the corona standstill and the difficulties we have faced and are still facing as an opportunity to speed up various planned investments."
